Big Sean and Jhené Aiko have finally reunited following the release of Jhené’s new single “Triggered,”
“Triggered” is almost inevitably about Big Sean, detailing her feelings for her now-ex-boyfriend and leading some to believe that the two were feuding. There are lyrics about how the ex has since become her “enemy” and general emotions that seem conflicting when thinking about somebody you hold in high regard.
On Saturday morning (May 11), Jhené shared a photo of her and Sean sitting across from each other on a lifeguard tower at the beach. It appears that there’s no love lost between the two love birds, who are seen smiling and laughing.
Take a look at the beautiful, happy picture below.
Jhené Aiko also addressed reports that the single is a Big Sean diss track. “‘triggered’ was a moment. a moment that for me has passed. it is new to you because ur just now hearing it, but for me… it’s something i moved on from the moment i expressed it,” she tweeted.
“Triggered is NOT a diss song. it is a moment of talking sh*t out of frustration and passion. it’s was a moment of exaggerated expression when I was feeling lost and weak. no one is to be blamed or bashed for how I was feeling in that moment. I am in control of my feelings,” she added.

this is how I paint. this is me yelling and throwing paint at a canvas… then going out into the world feeling less tension, more open… more loving. going to bed feeling less stressed, more optimistic.

Last month, Aiko shared a comment on Instagram where she told Big Sean that she love and appreciate him.
“you are so special. to me. to the world,” she wrote in response to a video of Sean performing a Nipsey Hussle tribute. “while we’re both still on this planet I just to say… i love you beyond measure. even tho i get big mad and u trigger the f**k out of me. u make me feel. and i appreciate that. because i thought i was dead inside.”
Wow, what Jhene had to say to Big Sean. That’s real. pic.twitter.com/Uo7S7ba4mZ
