Featuring MMG Boss Rick Ross.
Tonight, and possibly the next 72 hours, Drake is going to be celebrating the first ever Toronto Raptors NBA Championship. The series, which ended coincidentally in a game six, sees the 6-God readying his next collection of music.
Just announced on the gram, The Boy is dropping a new two-pack EP today, which features tracks “Omerta” and “Money in the Grave” featuring Rick Ross. This marks the first track with Rozay since the situation with Meek Mill went down four years ago.
“This is poetic,” Drake said while wearing a championship hat. “You just have to watch it happen. The six in six. Kyle Lowry with a ring. Kawhi Leonard bringing a chip to the city. I want my chips with a dip, that’s all I know. I don’t want my chips plain. I want my chips with a dip. So bring them dips. That dynasty’s over. We did what we had to do.”
Despite not being at the Oracle Arena to personally witness the championship game, Drake gave an emotional post-game interview touching on the win. “That dynasty’s over,” he proudly said. “We did what we had to do. Praying for KD, praying for Big Papi, but tonight belongs to Toronto.”
Watch Drake’s Instagram Live rant and his post-game interview below. Look for the drop later today.
Drake says he was asked not to attend away games for safety reasons. Out of respect for the league he did just that. Also says he’s dropping the two songs tomorrow. pic.twitter.com/CU0Zq9Edxs
