Tyga is back with his first full-length project of 2019 called Legendary. 14 tracks project features guest appearance from Chris Brown, Lil’ Wayne, Blueface, Gunna, Swae Lee and more. It also features his hit singles “Taste” featuring Offset and “Hate” featuring Chris Brown and J Balvin. As described in the editor’s notes, “he stocks his seventh album with songs to ride to, preferably with the top down and system up.”
There was a point in time when it appeared that Tyga’s music career was an afterthought. With “Rack City,” “Faded” and other hit records in the rear view mirror, the California native looked to be done with music. However, he found a way to reinvent himself with his track “Taste” featuring Offset.
Since then, Tyga has dropped other singles like “Swish” and “Dip.” Most recently, he’s collaborated with Tory Lanez on “Broke Leg” and YG on “Go Loko”.
Legendary marks the follow-up to his 2018 album, Kyoto. Tyga revealed he initially didn’t have plans to release a full-length project so soon following Kyoto, however he decided to after receiving constant requests for fans. “I really didn’t plan to have a whole album,” Tyga said in a recent interview with Ryan Seacrest. “I was just putting out singles, just putting out party vibes, and I was just recording as I went and people were like ‘We want an album! We want an album!’ So I was like it’s only right one year later, let me drop it for the summer.”
It may be hard to believe, but the former Young Money Artist is already on his seventh studio album. Check out the full project above and let us know what you think. Does Tyga deliver on his latest album?
