Lamar Jackson Matches Colin Kaepernick Record in Ravens Win

Lamar Jackson spent the weekend smashing records during his team’s 23-17 win over the Bengals.

The Baltimore Ravens man became the first quarterback to amass over 200 passing yards and 150 rushing yards in one regular-season game in the Super Bowl era.

In the AFC North divisional game, the second-year starter threw for 236 yards while also rushing for 152 yards and a score to take his team to 4-2, while leaving the Bengals at 0-6.

The achievement has been done before, in a play-off game by Colin Kaepernick. The shunned quarterback threw for 263 yards and rushed for 181 during the San Francisco 49ers’ win over the Green Bay Packers in the divisional round of the playoffs in 2013.

Six games into this regular season, former Heisman Trophy winner Jackson has averaged over 250 passing yards and completed 65.1 percent of his passes. Factor in 460 rushing yards and an 11/5 touchdown/interception ratio and things are looking good in Baltimore.
