Thanks to its asymmetrical design cues and themes of fragmentation and chaos, the unique Manifesto from The Salvages had a successful pre-launch in October of 2019 at Dover Street Market’s Ginza outpost, selling out in a flash. There’s good news for those who missed out, though: the distinctive design is finally getting a wider release.
The Salvages have announced that the Manifesto will finally be hitting their own e-commerce platform this November. Like the pairs that hit DSM Ginza’s site, November’s handcrafted Manifesto drop will once again see the low-top clad in a heavily-layered combination of stretchy knits and breathable mesh along with elk, calfskin, suede, and full-grain leather overlays.
The design even takes its themes a step further with asymmetrical Vibram outsoles – an apparent first for a sneaker. Finally, pigment-free leather and orthopaedic insoles ensure that the Manifesto feels as good as it looks.
The brand has pre-released its collection at Dover Street Market Ginza but will officially release “Deconstructivism” on December 3 at The Salvages official website. Further, Dover Street Market Singapore will see the Manifesto and its accompanying collection release on December 5.
