On his latest single “Heartbeat”, Skiifall’s vocal talents feature among skittering hats and steel clangs to form a pastiche of lustful pop and compassionate trap. Speaking from a beaten heart, Skiifall bounces between the difficulties in proving love and the unnavigable intricacies of intimacy. The song ends with an introspective moment in Skiifall’s lonely reality, with a pitched vocal sample that teases of a love that could have been.
