ST. PETE, FL — Prettyboy Col is an unknown artist breaking out from the ‘burbs of Florida. Collin also produces all of his own music, paying homage to 90’s Memphis rap and Lo-Fi production. His new mixtape drops this on the 14th of August.
Like most of Col’s music, “life after round 2” derives from sampling laid back 90’s hits and 80’s jams as well as other vintage samples. His past work really started from doing cover-art work for rappers in the area and wanting to bring his own voice to the table. Learning over years of sitting in his room just practicing and playing around, similar to Kanye West’s start in his career.
After only creating music for a couple of years his latest album, “side effects of youth, round 2” received well over 20K streams on Spotify and a warm love from his small fanbase. Previous to that he collaborated with a close friend, HazeySkies on “balloon party!!!” that amassed around 25K streams back in November of 2019.
