In this new entry in our ‘Diamonds In The Rough’ category, we want to introduce you to upcoming artist SUMWHR and his brand new single titled “Waste Time”.
Hailing from Watts, California, SUMWHR is an up and coming independent melodic-songwriter, producer, engineer, and sound architect whose music could be best described as wave R&B or something we like to call 808 Blues. After a bright and impactful start as Novelle Vega and being featured on VH1’s “Black Ink Crew”, SUMWHR has crafted a new melodic texture that takes you on a journey. He has created a sound that is full of endless ear candy, catchy lyrics, and melodic vibes. When you hear one of his songs, like “Fake S**t”, many draw familiar emotions with rocky relationships, resentment, and uncertainty of commitment. After collaborating with Mila J on her release of “Handsome” and being named Buzz Music LA top 10 of 2019, SUMWHR has definitely delivered a bold statement on why he’s here to stay.
