DIAMOND IN THE ROUGH: DRAKExTAYLOR – “I’m Going Down”

In this new entry in our ‘Diamonds In The Rough’ category, we want to introduce you to upcoming artist DRAKExTAYLOR and his brand new single titled “I’m Going Down”.

Kansas City is probably one of the most underrated cities with a rich Hip-Hop history. DRAKExTAYLOR returns with his new single “I’m Going Down”, a truly innovative and genre-blended masterpiece, on August 5th on all streaming platforms. As an independent artist, songwriter, and producer, he recorded “I’m Going Down” in the back of his car, in true independent fashion. He pulls from a variety of genres, including Pop, Emo Rap, Hyperpop, and R&B, to spill his feelings about a toxic relationship that feels good. In true midwest fashion, he brings something to the table that people didn’t realize they needed, with his raspy vocals, huge synths, and gut-wrenching guitars over a pocket trap beat. Its fusion with the Hyperpop/Emo style peaks through the cracks to bring a Gen-Z friendly approach to the table, something signature to DRAKExTAYLOR’s sound.
